I woke up again. Great. Jelly said I wouldn’t sleepwalk again, but I don’t want nightmares every night either. I swung my legs out of my bed. My feet touch the unnaturally cold floor. Something doesn’t  feel right. I go outside and walk all around the house. No Jelly. I go back to my cousins room. I can’t bear to look at the damage I’ve done. I slowly ease in. There’s someone bent over Mari’s body. A sucking sound emits from them. Jelly looks at me and scream. I ran over to her. There’s blood around her mouth.

“What are you doing?!” I shout in her ear.

“I…um… it’s all part of the process…” she stammered.

“Stop lying! Tell me the truth!!” 

“Well as you caught me in the act. I’ll just give you a good advice. Blood tastes really good. You should pair up with me and make humans extinct!!” she exclaims.

“What! Why? I’m human! You’re human!” 

“Very funny. You and me kid. We are not human. We are sirens. Half human. I’ve been possessing you for like forever in your sleep!”

I see redness taking over my face. Half Human? That’s not true. It’s because she possessed me to become one.

“So you’ve killed everyone ALL THIS TIME!!? You can possess me JUST LIKE THAT!!?”

“Meh, only in your sleep. I’ve been waiting for you to like killing and drinking blood naturally, but I guess not. I’ll get rid of you. You are nothing to me!!”

She raises a dagger. It takes me a moment to return to my senses. I ran for my life. I skid to a stop in front of a wall. I had nowhere to go now. She was closing on me. She looked stronger than me. And I would be dead before I get my hand on her neck. All of the things she has done to me starts spinning around my mind. I feel my head getting hotter and hotter. So unfair. 

Suddenly, a reddish beam streaks out my hands plunging into Jelly’s heart. She falls lifeless with a thud. I bent over. Her chests rises and falls but then rises no more. Good riddance. I’m human once again (I think).
